Tastings

Our TASTING ROOM in Dowtown Newberg.

When visiting Chehalem, you may taste wines at either of our two locations.

At our TASTING ROOM, located in downtown Newberg at 106 Center Street (the corner of Center Street and Highway 99), we offer tastings in two flights: our Core Flight for $5 or Reserve Flight for $10. (Tasting fees are refundable with purchase.) Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Thursday to Monday and no appointment is needed unless you have a group of 10 or larger. Tasting at the WINERY.

At the WINERY, you may schedule a in-depth appointment if you prefer to spend more time tasting and learning about our wines. Please contact Caroline or Jason at 503-538-4700 or email sales@chehalemwines.com to schedule an appointment. Tasting fee is $10 per person and tastings generally last about an hour.

Our WINERY is located on Highway 99 in Newberg, Oregon, directly across the highway from our friends at Rex Hill Winery.

Both locations are about a 45-minute drive from downtown Portland. (Location & Map)

Chehalem hosts several private events at the winery each year in addition to Yamhill County's Memorial Day and Thanksgiving Weekend Open Houses. Our most popular event is our annual Celebration of the Arts, where we transform our barrel cellar into an art gallery for the weekend hosting numerous artists and filling the cellar with the sounds of classical strings. Our label artist, Ted Katz, is featured every other year and is scheduled for the 2009 show.

Other events have included concerts at the winery and vineyard, barrel tastings, release parties, wine dinners, wine seminars and our annual Tasting Panel Wine Club events.
